Job Description

 Job Purpose

Job holder will be responsible to ensure Shariah Compliance in day-to-day business activities and documentation of Credit Administration Department (CAD). For this, she / he will be liable to coordinate with Business Units and Shariah teams.

Job Description:

  • Act as a bridge among CAD, Business Units and Shariah teams for the matters realted to Shariah Compliance
  • Prepare and update MIS (tracking sheets for individual customers)
  • Maintain, review and update files of process flows, product manuals, Shariah board notifications / rulings and Shariah approvals
  • Get resolved CAD observations from Business Units pertaining to Shariah compliance 
  • Review and ensure compliance of process flows of all Islamic products and get approvals in case of deviation
  • Support CAD in preparation of multiple master documents
  • Assist Business Units in disbursement / settlement process
  • Follow-up with Business Units to resolve operational / transactional issues
  • Facilitate Shariah Audit Reviews & resolve discrepancies / observations
  • Provide required documents to Shariah department for annual / interim reviews and resolve observations

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably, masters / MBA from a reputed institution
  • Fresh graduate with Islamic Banking & Finance Certification / Course, or
  • 1-2 years Shariah Compliance-related work experience
  • Knowledge of Shariah Compliant Financial Products will be a plus
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Good at Microsoft Office
